Common questions

Can I choose the tone?

Yes, and it is the whole point of this page. Press the ? button for a list of tones to start from — technical, plainer, professional, shorter, more forceful — or type your own instruction over the sentence. The example above changes with your choice.

Will the layout survive?

Yes. The rewrite is applied inside the document structure, so paragraphs, tables, images and page layout remain in place.

Will it invent facts, or change my numbers?

It rewrites how something is said, not what it says. Figures, dates and names are carried across. A rewrite that shortens will drop repetition rather than substance — and it is still worth reading the result, which is why Track Changes exists.

Can I review what changed?

Yes. Word results can include Track Changes so every rewrite remains reviewable, and you can accept or reject each edit.

Can I rewrite only part of the document?

Yes. Say which part in the sentence — a section, a page range, or "only the summary" — and the rest is left untouched.

Which file types work here?

PDF, Word and PowerPoint documents. A PDF is converted to an editable document first, so what comes back is editable rather than a flattened page.

Do I need an account?

No. Your first run works without signing up.
